OER – Open Educational Resources are licensed to be used by anyone. This promotes an open learning philosophy that benefits both the individual student as well as educational institutions and corporations.

Gaea’s approach to open learning is to provide the resources after setting up an account totally free of charge. However, there will be no record keeping of the learner’s progress nor a certificate for the successful completion of the course.

To fund this project we charge for the certificate of completion with record keeping, but still within the spirit of open learning we maintain the lowest charges possible. For a single business we charge £55 as an annual subscription to train as many employees at a single location for all three courses. Our “fair usage” policy places a limit of 50 employees a year, a total of 150 courses with certificates, or a cost of just 36 pence per employee per certificate.
 
At Gaea we welcome feedback and participation in the development of new resources and tools to aid the caterer and the learner.
